Swinging By

Bluetits continue to graze on the silver birch outside my bedroom window, whether for seeds or insects, I'm  not sure.

They often cling to the narrowest of twigs and swing to and fro. Naturally, when I wanted to take a photo of this, they did not oblige.

Should have mentioned that it took us almost an hour to drive home from Loughborough. Something like 30 cm of flood water at Hathern. Drivers were being sensible. Those going south had enabled those going north to travel on the 'wrong' side of the road in the flood, slowly. No emergency services in evidence.
