Meanwhile, just now, in the very nearly all the way dark, I went out the front door to get my bird feeders in and surprised my friend Ms. Deer who was there eating peanuts that were scattered on the ground. I sais "Oh! Sorry! Just let me get these feeders and I'll give you some more peanuts!" So she moved a few feet away around beside the magnolia and waited. And as soon as I tossed the peanuts for her and went back in the house she came right back up for her snack. It was far too dark to really see her, much less take her photo, but I was very pleased nonetheless. She is clearly becoming a pet of sorts.
