Sunrise on the Clyde

Sometimes the tedium of my Scotrail journey is lifted by the smallest things.

Today as I was passing under the M74 I looked ot east to see the most marvelous sunrise. The sky was deep blue with a strip of vermillion on the horizon.

Thanks to the usual hold up before getting to the station it was about 15 minutes later before I was able to take this photograph. Although not as vibrant as my view from the train I still found the colour saturation more than satisfcatory. I was also fascinated by the fact that by moving the lens even a fraction of a degree in the verticle, the colour shift in the river was dramatic, a bit like those car paint jobs which shift colour depending on how you look at the car.
