The Bolllard

We have had such a great day today. We have been on some of the Dunedin beaches, such lovely white sand and sand dunes, even saw a juvenile sea lion. We have explored the Peninsula, and inlets, and been down to the end to see the Albatross's - but there were none flying today.
It was such a good day with very little wind, and sun. Later in the evening it rained.
This photo is of one of the bollards at the Otago Harbour. There are about 6 of them. The are like big teeth that have been pulled out.
I do not know the significance of them at all, and after a while I thought that they were quite ugly. But I did like the way the the sun was shining on them, and the sky was dark and brooding. There was a guy on a board with a kite that went sailing past, and you might notice the seagull following his path.
A bit of shopping and a Thai meal finished our day.
