Adulthood

This swan has not yet lost its cygnet plumage and cuts a rather solitary figure on the dyke.  It has rained most of the day and only three turned up at the cafe.  There will be many more for the Christmas day meal and the food parcels. I did a bit of Christmas shopping on my way back but otherwise it has been a day to batten down the hatches.
