Sanctus

Mrs C has been busy on Wednesday nights for a few months at choir practice in Pathhead with Ms H's ex-singing teacher Sophie Bancroft. Pathhead has got quite an arts community for the size of the village, it was weird seeing Karine Polwart tidying away people's cups and plates afterwards! Mrs C has not really sung before, to other people, so I was surprised when she decided to do it. One day I was working upstairs and heard this ominous chanting and had no idea what it was until I saw her with her earphones in practising as she was tidying up... Santus, Dominus. Singing alto is not necessarily the main melody, so it was difficult to know how she fitted in, but Ms H and I were both impressed when it was sung by the choir tonight - they sang about 6 songs, Mrs C at the front. Well done Mrs C!
