Arno at Le Sieci
I was obliged to drive to Fiesole first thing. A heating engineer was coming to fit a lime scale filter to the boiler to bring it into regulatory conformity after a random visit from the regional energy police. A huge hassle and bureaucratic rigmarole.
On the way back roadworks stopped me on the bank of the Arno where it had recently flooded. A big high wheelbase Volvo dumper truck was dumping loads of stone where the river had threatened to undermine the main road.
The weather continues still and mild.
Could not bring myself to listen to news of the Tory Queen’s Speech. Don’t know which way to look.
