Black tie day

When I was teaching I wore a tie everyday ( it was my retro rebel style ). Since I retired I must have worn one about 10 times .
Today it was the black tie for the funeral of a friend and grandad who volunteered in school . The kids loved him .
He was a great bloke - kind , interesting and always funny - in a quiet way .
He had a cardboard coffin with a Return to Sender sticker on it
I think we got the message !
