Rain is on the Way

It was a cold, raw day today...a good day for a down jacket...brr! I had lunch with a good friend and then went out to the garden to plant the last of the daffodil bulbs. Nothing like waiting 'till a cold day! I also potted up a bunch of new amaryllis bulbs - some for me, some for gifts. So much fun to watch those bulbs grow!

Here's a luscious foliage blip - ornamental kale in lovey purple and green, and a variegated vinca planted at the edge. Love these colors!

Tonight the rain starts and we're forecasted to get about 5" of rain between tonight and Saturday. We're about 6" of rain below normal for the year, but I'm not sure it's a great idea to make up for it all at once.
