The Things you Do

I started the day by trying to kick the jet lag into touch by getting up earlier and going out to do some photography for the sculpture project.  Quite a trek round the suburbs of Birmingham today.  Then a phone call from youngest nephew - would I help him cook a caterpillar cake for his girlfriend's birthday on Friday?  I don't know where the idea came from that I could make a caterpillar cake!  Never attempted such a thing ever!  It was probably from my sister deflecting responsibility!  I'm not one to reject a challenge generally so I said I would have a go...

What a sticky mess the kitchen became!  All the component parts tasted very nice so I hope the whole thing will be tasty too!  I expect it will be very sweet and I hope the pink smarties will be as ordered!

Shock horror!  I couldn't remember how to make a piping bag to make the chocolate face, but it seemed to turn out ok!
