Gently down the stream

Thank you, Santa

I took this at the end of the afternoon, just as the rain was getting underway.  This is the path through Winchester Cathedral's Outer Close.  The pink-lit square at the end is the great west door and if you go round to the right you get into the Inner Close and Christmas Market.  For some reason the Cathedral chooses to floodlight itself in purple and pink year round, but the string of yellow lights and the blue-lit trees are special features for Christmas.  The row of lights down the lefthand side of shot are part of a permanent light-sculpture.

Many thanks to BobsBlips for continuing to host the fab WidWed challenge.

The reason I blipped late today was that I have been far from well.  In fact I spent part of the afternoon just before this at the doctors'.  It seems I have been gifted shingles for Christmas, thanks to my rubbish immune system.  Thank you, Santa!

So once again tonight I will be doing the stars/hearts bit on yours without much commenting.  Please feel free to do the same..

Hope all is well in your world  xx
