Ugly duckling....not!

Had to go to the sorting office to pick up a parcel - having now discovered an obscure bus route that goes directly there from Leith it's not too bad at all. What's more, it turned out to be not just one but TWO parcels - must be someone's birthday! Including a little something from the lovely CarolineJay. Thank you, CJ - it will be blipped in due course!

The cygnet on the WoL seemed to be without parental supervision/harrassment. There's a lot of white showing on her now. The water was very muddy, but there must have been some delicious stuff down there since this fleeting glimpse was the only shot I got of her with her head out of the water!

(Just noticed that this is almost monochrome - but it's full colour folks, honest! Normal for Leith on an overcast day near the winter solstice....)
