Tools of my trade

Vicarly duties have demanded all of my time and attention today. A retired colleague died just after Christmas, but not before planning his funeral which took place today. At his request I preached at his service, which was an enormous privilege. Never preached with so many other clergy present, including one of our bishops. It was a lovely occasion.
