Almost (Dr) Leo
Today has been long-anticipated: that of Leo's PhD viva.
Leo started his part-time doctoral studies with us back in autumn 2013: I blipped Leo just before he joined us, when he was performing in the Edinburgh Fringe.
Over the course of the past 6 years Leo has completed an extensive longitudinal study on user perceptions of public libraries. He has also changed jobs four times, switched institutions three times, and moved house three times (at least). As well as this, Leo and his wife have added two more children to their growing family. Leo is a very, very busy man!
Here is Leo immediately after his viva, celebrating his success with me, Laura, and a big plate of seafood risotto. Now all that stands between him and graduation is the completion of some minor corrections to his thesis. Hurrah!
In other news today I finished my marking and exam board prep.
Exercise today: walking (16,924 steps).
