Probus Christmas lunch

Strawberries were on top of the Christmas pudding. My old schoolfriend and retired vet, Douglas is examining them. We had three questions. 1) why did they grow to this size ? Why are they so anaemic? Although no 1 may answer no 2.

And 3) where on earth did they come from?
