IF YOU GO DOWN TO THE WOODS TODAY........

G and I decided to go to Blackwells, the Arts and Crafts House in Bowness-on-Windermere today.  This was partly because after having been to the Steamboat Museum earlier in the week we could get in for half price if we showed that ticket.

I have been a few times before but not for a while.  They have a lovely cafe, where were had coffee and the house is always pleasant to look around.  Especially at quieter times, like winter on a weekday before everyone has broken up for holidays.

I have so many photos of it but today there was a special woodland them in the main hall so that is my blip.

It's called "Once Upon A Woodland" and it is a season installation designed and made by visual artist and performer Hannah Fox.  I have included the notice about the installation in the extras for anyone interested.

It rained all day in Bowness but as we were travelling back down the A591 we could see it brighter in Grange - well the saying is "It's Always Sunny in Grange"!!!!!!!!!!!

We stopped off at Low Sizergh Barn for a light lunch and then just headed back home.  It wasn't raining here, so that was great.
