Cabbage Magic
Aren't these cabbages beautiful. I'm again remembering my old pal Doro by making her German cabbage recipe.
I chop finely
chop small onion finely, fry in oil and butter
add 1 large Bramley Apple chopped finely
add finely chopped cabbage.
2 table spoons cider vinegar
2 table spoons honey
cinnamon and cloves to taste. I like lots
salt and pepper
cup of hot water.
Cook gently, stir often. cook to taste . I like mine still a bit crisp.
Enjoy.
I'm having mine with Venison sausage and potato tonight.
