A Bit Early

for my traditional "He Always Blips That" night time Blip of the market.  Extras today include a bit of Denglisch gone, well not wrong but definitely not right.  And another short of the Poinsettia Tree in the Kurhaus, this time with no tables or scaffold in the way.

It was Monday and like a Good Boy I was at work for 6:30.  And I started working and nine hours later I stopped.  That's a good effort for a Monday.

I then met up with my chum B and we went for a wander and a blether.  One of the topics that came up was Irn Bru. Irn Bru is a soft drink that is very popular in Scotland but is really not known here.  He really wanted to try some.  He even researched where he could try some, which is why we found ourselves in the pub favoured by Expats in Wiesbaden (not me though).

I don't think it's a great pub but, you know, sacrifices for a friend and all that.  He ordered it and was served a standard 330ml can.  Can you guess how much it cost?  On the website of the British supermarket Tesco, I could buy 8 cans for 3 pounds 50, so we'll round it up and say that it would be roughly 50 cents a can.  It costs 4 Euro per can here.  It's more expensive than a half liter of Bier.

And he reckons it tasted similar to Red Bull.
