Did oil get so complicated! I think it’s all a ploy to frighten us into buying dealer branded oil at vast expense.
Gearbox/transfer box oil however does matter as it all depends upon the size of the holes in the gears. A friend used the wrong oil on his LR box and completely wrecked it but engine oil.....?
