Xmas Count Red-tailed Hawk

Our annual Christmas bird count was today--comfortable weather for once, in the mid-40sF/7 C, with some sun. Our club's count (Hampshire Bird Club) tallied 81 species--a good number, and our small group saw thirty-two in our assigned area.  Our best bird was a black vulture--one of six seen altogether, and a first-time ever species for our CBC.   Our close sighting of this red-tailed hawk is marked on the map  via GPS.
