Silly Heron

Went to the refuge late morning, there were lots of people and very few birds.  I did see this heron throw his head back and start making this odd open mouth swallowing demonstration so I think he qualifies for Silly Saturday.  

Husband came home sick last night so we did not go to the Christmas Party.  We both had flu shots, but it looks like that didn't help him.  Headlines in the newspaper states several schools have shut down from so many out sick.  Yikes what a season for the flu, I'm doing everything I can think of to avoid it....keep you posted.
