The Brownie Nativity
It was the Brownie Nativity today. My friend Anne invited us along to the Church Party she organises and the congregation enjoyed our play last year so wanted us to do it again. It’s not easy to gather together enough girls at this time of year but we managed to have a Mary, Joseph, a donkey, shepherd, two kings a camel and angel. We did not have time to have a run through so just went for it. Some were quite nervous and almost chickened out, one King decided it was too much for her so we had a little sister take her place. She was very funny, dropping her tinsel as she went on and pulling her big sister back to get it. The Angel who was narrator too rushed through the script so we were finished in about 10 minutes. The audience were very quiet so could not work out if they enjoyed it but we did have some good comments from a few afterwards. We all enjoyed sandwiches, cakes and chocolate together before singing some carols.
I can relax now it’s over. Enjoyed watching Strictly by myself as Mikes away to Glasgow.
