My father-in-law will be 90 on Christmas Eve so today we had a party for him. He’s not been so good this week and I spent all day yesterday basically trying to keep him out of hospital. I’m not sure how long it will last but at least it worked for today.

Here he is is with his pal Mollie, two sons, two daughters-in-law, four grandchildren and three boy/girlfriends of grandchildren.

It was an exhausting but lovely day - he really enjoyed it.

We are home now and it’s snowing.
