Disused line to Rothbury

Day 7 of St Oswald's Way, from Weldon Bridge to Rothbury. This is a section of disused line approaching Rothbury.

We stayed in the former station hotel at Rothbury (now nicely restored and renamed) for two nights, with a taxi to collect us from Weldon Bridge the previous day and return us there today. The hotel was built by Lord Armstrong to take visitors to nearby Cragside.
