The end of another....

Term.

The children finished at midday and we stayed for a shared lunch and secret Santa. This year we were asked to buy our £10 gift from a charity shop, some found this harder than others. However, the gift I chose and managed to keep (here you pick a number and then choose a present in turn.  Once you’ve opened your pressie you can swap with another opened pressie or keep it. I was number 13 out of 25 and wasn’t hopeful that I would hold onto mine but concealing it under my seat I managed to do so) was a glass vase from John Lewis (the buyer, my friend, didn’t want to buy from a charity shop...result).

In the evening Mr C went off to rugby and Lucy ordered herself a pizza. As she was trying to dish up , the bowl fell on her foot, she screamed out, leapt  to the other side of the kitchen, knocked a water bottle over that in turn knocked my new vase to the floor....... miraculously it didn’t break. We ice packed her foot , fingers crossed it’s just bruised.

We have a few busy days ahead and I need to start sorting out the house too. My new front room is lovely however, there are boxes all over the house where we emptied stuff out of the front room and they won’t be going back e.g boxes of dvds and books.

(Thoughts with W who is a bit poorly and coming to terms with her news xx)
