Crazy Ice
Ice flow along the lake shore formed into a myriad of interlocking shapes like crazy paving. It reminded me of photos I've seen of desert mud flats such as in Death Valley.
I chose a section in the shade to bring out the rough texture of the ice and included the sunlit patch and reeds for context and variety. The shots I took of just the ice were interesting patterns, but maybe not so interesting as photos.
I think it would be good to try again with a wide angle lens and emphasize the shapes closer to the camera.
