Ok, in my heart of hearts I knew a Labour majority wasn't going to happen, but a hung parliament with a 2nd vote seemed a reasonanble hope. I just have to conclude that I am so out of sync with opinion in UK now. 

5 years ago , hardly anybody considered the EU to be an important issue. How can that have changed so much ?

My mother had a serious op last year. The staff were wonderful, most of them came from EU countries and they are now regarded as outstaying their welcome by our new frigid PM.
