Hope

Periwinkle (Vinca) growing under the hedgerow in the lane, a sign of hope that this grey wet weather will one day disappear! May be.

Apologies for disappearing but inspiration is totally lacking! The new hip is coming along fine and it is exercised every day along the wet lanes.

The farm glistens when the sun shines with the water lying upon the saturated fields. The cattle are all under cover away from the mud.

Very sad news received today. A great friend of ours has finally given up his fight and passed away in a hospice near Manchester earlier this morning. What a wonderful relief for him but so sad for his family and friends. Two others have also died this winter. Both had so much talent, one a botanical artist, and the other a musician in London.

Life goes on and the sun will shine again!
