Sunday afternoon, The Woodstock Arms

Sunday morning the weather was freezing...tingly cold and the sky very blue as we walked around Farmoor Reservoir, and then set off to pretty Woodstock. A bowl of delicious spicy tomato & lentil soup with chunks of proper bread, a quick look ot the Antiques Fair in the old Town Hall, and a walk around the Cotswold town, and it was time for another warm up. The short winter's daylight meant the temperature had dropped even more...
In The Woodstock Arms, the lunchtime crowd had moved on, it was dark outside, warm and quiet inside, and we had the fireside table... Bliss.
