Well that’s not what we planned

We were late setting off to go Christmas Shopping in Leeds today. Traffic on the M62 was at a virtual standstill so we went back the way we came and headed down the A62 instead. Got as far as Birstall and it was nose to tail so we abandoned the idea and headed for Redbrick Mill in Batley instead.
Got most of what we needed and then enjoyed lunch at Filmore and Union before heading home.
Back in Mirfield we went to vote and did a bit of shopping before getting in and putting our feet up in front of the TV.
We will be up late. Heaven knows what the counts will bring us. Is the flicker of hope worse than expecting the worst?
