Headless in Morpeth
Down to Wansbeck first thing for a cardiac CT scan, more than a little nervous about the possible effects of the iv contrast medium. But the first scan was clear enough that the contrast medium wasn't necessary. Expected to have to wait for an appointment with the consultant for the results, but he was there today. Immensely relieved to learn that the arteries in my heart are pretty much OK! Phew! Looks as though the cause of last month's little event will remain a mystery.
Was looking forward to going in to Newcastle after the hospital appointment, to the Baltic and maybe for some shopping. But MrM had forgotten to bring the instrument that he had promised to drop off in Morpeth this morning. So we drove home to collect it, then back down to Morpeth, by which time it was lunch time. Had a bite to eat there, and wandered round the town for a while - the Baltic will have to wait for another day. Spotted this strange-looking mannequin in the menswear department of a well-known shop, his pyjamas at the ready.
