Stonehead

I spent so long last night working my way through video tutorials for Illustrator CS4 that I was late getting to bed, still woke early, went back to bed, woke again around 2.00 pm -- and missed the best part of the day from what I can gather. The afternoon was spent aimlessly, and suddenly it was question of getting out quick and getting a blip.

I thought of Clontarf Castle, one of my favourite spots, but spotted the graceful spire of a nearby church and stopped there instead. This is one of the carved heads which adorn the entry porch. I meant to take a note of the church name, but didn't. Shame. Still, there'll be another time.

Not much to report apart from that. Still no word about my failed hard drive, but they did say it would be 'two or three days', so I'll wait until lunchtime tomorrow and contact them if I still haven't heard anything. Just as well I don't have any big job on the go right now. Still, the copy of Illustrator I got yesterday surprisingly worked without a bother on my Intel iMac, so at least I'm set for work effort whenever it comes along. One thing about the weekend disk disaster: at last it's forced me to sort out which of my Macs is for what, and I'll finally begin the move to using the Intel iMac for work.
