Winter Gales

Gales blowing all day, easing the slightest tonight.  It's been heavy rain most of the day too, easing at times tonight.

I've been working on the museum desk all day.  With the harsh weather, it's been super quiet in the museum.  I met up with mam for lunch.  Been to a squad meeting after tea, and then nipped down to see Laura.  Off to work in the pub later.

This feels like the first proper winter gale of the season.  The winds have been gusting up to 69mph, so nothing too serious yet.  Looks like it's going to be much the same again tomorrow, swinging from the SE to the SW.  The seas have been churning up plenty of food for these herring gulls.  Taken at the Sletts, Lerwick.
