We were up in Dunkeld at the Hermitage for our Christmas walk with Midweek Walkers.  It was pouring with rain all day, but nevertheless the walk was not cancelled, although shortened a bit.  The Falls on the River Braan were spectacular, I have never seen them quite so turbulent.

After the walk we dried off and repaired to the Dunkeld House Hotel where we had a terrific Christmas meal.   I have had rather a lot of Christmas meals this week...… the ambience of the hotel was wonderful, the service was very smart, and we were all daft as usual.  You don't have to be daft to join us but it does help.   

Lots of banter, a bit of alcohol consumed, and a nice safe drive home in our coach with Duncan, who is our regular driver and a great friend to all of us.

A better day we could not have had..... well maybe a little sun would have helped but not to worry
