Thorpe Bay, Essex

Another grey and wet day and, seeing as the tide was in, another attempt at some long exposure shots.  I spent a very cold and windy hour standing on the Thorpe Bay Yacht Club slipway and, just as I packed up, it started raining. I felt quite pleased. I'm incredibly impressed with my tripod which did it's job despite being blown by the wind, although I did try to get my body in the way as much as possible. While I'm not a great fan of the "milky water" look I am learning a lot by trying this stuff out, and I still have that sense of wonderment when I see the results!
