Dawdling around Dunham

As today was forecast as the last dry day for quite some time, we promised ourselves a day outdoors.

We opted for NT Dunham Massey as its almost on our doorstep and always good for walking, around the deer park and gardens.

They have their annual Christmas "lighting" displays in the gardens, obviously not lit during the day, but I can imagine its quite impressive in the dark!

Hub spotted a kingfisher beside one of the many little streams, but I didnt have a long enough lens to get anywhere near enough :-(

We treated ourselves to a large coffee and sandwich in The Stables restaurant, before it got too busy with christmas lunches!

Then out again to walk through the deer park.
Saw a few deer, but liked this shot with the setting sun casting its orange glow on the dead bracken.......another shot in extras too.

Camera club tonight, one of our guys is showing images and talking about a local Manchester based building/joinery company pre WW1 &11, called Gerrards.....should be interesting!!

A quick prawn & chorizo pasta in a tomato sauce for dinner tonight.
