Marsh Harrier

Bright sunshine today - what a contrast to the past few days!  I drove over to Leighton Moss and spent some time in the Causeway Hide.  There was plenty to see but the highlights were a fly past by a bittern and a couple of marsh harriers hunting over the reeds.  The extra is not great quality but shows a marsh harrier just after it has snatched some prey (possibly a reed bunting).
