Messy Eater!!

Late this afternoon I spotted this Black Cockatoo sitting on the large bird bowl chomping away happily on a banksia cone.  Now there’s no problem with that normally, but this character was making a huge mess of the bowl and was quite keen it seems to make as much mess as he could in my nice clean bowl!!  Anyway, who am I to complain, I’m secretly very happy whenever I see these handsome birds so close at hand.

It was our Photo Group Christmas gathering tonight and it was just delightful sitting outside.  It’s one of the hottest days so far this summer.  Now wind today so that made for a HUGE amount of smoke.  You could not see the Megalong Valley when I drove home the smoke was so thick.
