Highs and lows
Lazy breakfast with lots of drawing of monsters ('make it angry, make it sad' - on repeat) and cutting out of crowns, dinosaurs and bracelets. Found yet another thing in my fridge that was long past its sell by date... stereotypical old person behaviour!
Once we were sorted we headed to the museum where we had promised dinosaur bones so relieved to find the T Rex skeleton. Explored lots of things and for the most part they were quite interested especially in all the animals but also the mummies, trains, planes and buttons to press. At one point Mx had just had enough though and did the full ‘lie on the floor’ protest....much to the amusement of other visitors!
After a browse around the shop we then headed (in the rain) to Middle Eastern restaurant and had our fill of hummus and Turkish bread, grilled chicken, lamb, falafel etc. As usual Mx tucked in and ate loads and AR picked around the edges.
Home and we had a cup of tea and baklava then they packed up and set off - hopefully the kids will sleep most of the way home. I tidied up a bit then headed out to the annual Carol Service. As always rather lovely and very nostalgic. Forgot my glasses but luckily my memory for lyrics is good - more old person behaviour!
Home and wanted to get on with planning for the next couple of weeks but no inspiration and rather tired. They texted to say there had been an accident on the way and they were likely to be delayed at least an hour....poor things.
