You'd better Watch Out..

Today was a good day.

It started with photos from Sunrise in Shanghai - the kids had gotten up at 6 to watch the sunrise over the Shanghai Skyline - and boy was it worth it.

Then, despite being so engrossed in conversation that we missed the correct exit to Ikea, and ending up in a diversion in the City Centre with Hundreds of Santa's running the streets of either side of us... we made it to Ikea to beat the biggest crush for Breakfast.

I know, i know- Ikea is a long way to go to for Breakfast, but we had some bits we wanted to pick up and we decided to get there early to avoiid the crush.  £8.00 for two full breakfasts and two refillable coffees!

While we were having breakfast - I spotted "Breakfast With Santa - Sold Out"  And then realised that I had walked right past Santa on my way to the table.

He emerged from the Grotto - and went round patting kids on the head and smiling.  Si put his hand on top of mine and said "no, you haven't bought a ticket".   He was a beautiful Santa.  Immaculate velvet outfit, white, well groomed beard, and rosy cheeks, and a twinkle in his eye.

So I behaved.

But then as we walked round and stood in the toilet section -  there he was, standing in front of me.  "ho ho ho, Good Morning",  And I stood and held my arms out and he said "We've got a hugger".  and into his arms I fell.  And we had the best Christmas hug ever.

Then, satisfied and contented,  we finished our shopping and we headed back down the road, stopping off in Silverburn, also before the crowds and had a bimble and a coffee.

All the while we were travelling and shopping, Tooli was updating us on her travel.   At 2.30 she advised us she was "In Scotland", and sent me an updated link.

She wasn't in Scotland.    Geography was Never Tooli's strong point.

at 5pm she appeared.

Bedraggled, and coughing, but home.

What a day - Sunrise, Santa and Tooli home.

Life is good.
