Boston City Lights

Dear Diary,

Bitterly cold night n Boston but the city lights cast a warm glow over all. The Christmas party was just lovely and the views from the window and the terrace of busy Washington Street and the Common and State House were as enchanting as ever. It was so nice to see D & R again and their marvelous dog Mabel who was able to come out and join us after the guests had departed. B & T’s home is resplendent with Christmas and their tree was delivered as I arrived yesterday. They will be putting it up today. Later this morning I will travel up to Milton to see the Christmas decorations at the Eustice Estate before heading home to Maine and Louisa May.
