Finally Frost!

I just love the white stuff! Here it is on the metal circles that were around the barrels in my garden! I'm wondering if I can incorporate them into the decor when my new back yard is done!
My builder came today and started on my meditation room! I thought he would be doing the back yard but that is to be done in January when he will have someone to help him. So I now have 4 areas undergoing change! The back yard is already clear, the utility room is being decluttered along with the kitchen which will be started in February, and the meditation room is now empty and the ceiling has been plastered! I thought this would be a quick job but the plaster has to dry on the ceiling and soon the walls where the plaster has blown or crumbled due to a leak many years ago from next door! At least he fitted a latch on my new back yard gate so now Oscar and I can go in and out without the hassle of blocking the door shut with one of my garden gnomes! I have a feeling some of the gnomes are going to be rehomed when the back yard is complete! I have chosen a deep petrol blue for the walls and fence and a grey slate for the ground - both to be ordered in the new year after I have have seen the slates rather than just a photo of them on the internet! I'm now researching sinks, floor coverings, new storage heater, a smaller dishwasher, a sofa and new door and windows! I've also decided to have a heater installed to provide hot water in the kitchen - what a treat! I'm considering having the same put in the bathroom but will wait to see just how much will have to be ripped out to enable this! I'm also considering going away for the first week of the work as my entire kitchen is going to be ripped out and the wall which covers what would once have been a fireplace demolished! There is a lot to look forward to in the new year! For today it was reclining on my kitchen sofa with a hot water bottle as my stomach was really painful and I've got a cold!
In other news Oscar had his playdate with Ivy in the field! Happy dog - and very excited by seeing her  and  2 ponies in the next field which is going to be for small dogs! They are currently being used to clear the grass! He just barked at them and tried to bite them by pushing his head through the fence! The two ponies took absolutely no notice of him but had their noses right through the fence when I picked them some long grass!
