paramuthia

In a talk I am doing in Church, I am referring to a lovely Greek word "paramuthia" It translates into "consolation" in English, In Greek it derives from 2 words, one "para" meaning alongside or near and the other "muthos", meaning a word or speaking. So consolation involves being close by and speaking. The word describes the process of the action being carried out rather than simply describing the abstract idea of consolation. Such an insight into empathy and true support. When the steps are steep and rough, support and consolation can pepper the way with flowers.
