Communications Hub

I have a telegraph pole just outside the corner of my yard and it looked rather nice against the blue sky this morning.

Today was a bit of a "bonus" day off work but with an undercurrent of "phew"...

Last night the car brakes pretty much failed.

Luckily this seemed to happen as I attempted to stop at a quiet T-junction in my village with no traffic around... rather than 5 minutes previously whan I'd been bombing down the A1 at motorway speeds.

Consequently I was counting my blessings on Thursday evening and first thing on Friday morning the car was (very gingerly) taken to the garage for repair.

It meant I was able to catch up with a friend in North Shields for a good chat on Friday afternoon though. :)
