Christmas at Beamish.
Beamish is a world famous open air museum which tells the story of life in the North East of England in a variety of eras including the 1820s, 1900s, 1940s and now the 1950s...an area still being developed!
The atmosphere was just wonderful as the museum had truly got into the festive spirit. The houses were filled with traditional festive decorations and the staff were making a range of Christmas treats; crafts, biscuits and so on. The street in The Pit Village was decorated beautifully and it really did feel quite magical.
Mum and I enjoyed a tram ride, a trip on the steam train and a bus journey...alongside walking to the different areas to experience, and soak up, the atmosphere as much as possible!
We're now in the Premier Inn, bath had, pyjamas on...why of course it's Strictly Come Dancing semi final time!! :-D
