The sun rose at about 8.20 this morning and D was still in his bivvy bag as the geese started to fly in from the Solway. We had chosen a good night for our Big Sleepout - mild and (mostly) dry. There were 12 of us taking part and we are thankful to Allanton Peace Sanctuary for hosting us in their beautiful grounds. D and I slept in the middle of the Peace Henge, where there is a peace pole for every country in the world.
This morning we all met up in the kitchen for a blether and a cup of coffee. I think we have raised over £1400 so far, which is amazing!
It is Luke's 22nd birthday today and we had an outing to Samye Ling, a bright and cheery place in the middle of a very dreich Scottish landscape.
Sarah, Chris and Luke are cooking up an exotic Christmas dinner while I write this!
