Safe Journey.....

..........this afternoon at 1.55pm, in the company of her daughters, Liz concluded her nine year fight against illness. It was a dignified end to a life well lived. Head Teacher, Mother, Wife, Trade Unionist, Political Activist....I could go on but Liz was a positive influence on so many lives, and not your stereotypical mother-in-law. I'm so glad to have known her and I feel so very sad for her daughters who lost much of their mum to illness nine years ago, and lost the rest of her today.

Difficult to believe that just a few days ago she was causing mayhem on Christmas Day in our kitchen. I have some amazing memories of mayhem in the 17 years I knew her.
