Leaving it late

I am not usually a last minute person, neither of us is. I check-in online well in advance and sort out my tickets just in case the printer breaks down as I am about to leave for the airport (yes, yes I know I should have the phone app, but I like that old fashioned feel of paper).  I eat the least attractive thing on the plate first, so as to bask beautifully in the enjoyment of the best bits without having to worry about the upcoming arrival of the untasty.  I might even complete a piece of work a few days ahead of time, keep it to myself, and enjoy some deliciously secret down time.  Yet, when it comes to doing the annual accounts, it always seems to be left to the very last minute.  So it will be a bit of a scramble over the next few days to gather all the business bits together and to find that elusive tax-eligible receipt that must surely be hiding deep down the back of the sofa.  We took time out this morning to walk in Hillsborough Park.  The swans were not procrastinating, they were enjoying the calm water, young and old alike.
