The Beginnings....

Fiona thursday today!.    We began our Christmas preparations by going to the Scandinavian store in Ballard for a bit of FIKA ( good cakes!) and shopping for the herrings and Christmas cheese etc, etc.    ( extra).  Got the full description of orthodontal work to happen with her teeth in the near future.    Then Fiona is happy to hang out here...we did put up the fake tree with lights but will wait for miss Tatum to join us next week to do the rest of the decorating.    We did get out the old fragile Mexican crèche however ... unpacking them is always fun... here’s one of those wisemen. ( hummm..taped together from last year...) a bit of work on her ongoing story, cards, a bit of reading... oh we got out the Christmas library too .. the pop up books of Robert Sabuda never fail to entertain, they are so great.  A self portrait with her shirt with Darth Vader and Eleven ( from stranger things) that she loves as they are “2 of her favorite characters  and it’s also about girl power” ( Eleven  is overpowering Darth Vader) ( extra) ....
I thought we were going to get a new menu tonight for dinner with salmon burgers that Fi  liked at the island, but no...she just wanted pizza. 
And some dancing of course.   
Now as usual we are exhausted !  
But I thank all of you that made suggestions for my insomnia plea yesterday , I do appreciate them .... so grateful for you writing them.   I knew there would be some experience to gain from kind and helpful blippers who of course knew what I was talking about.  I think not stressing about not sleeping is important..... I’m OK there but need to convince H.   And now I need to get away from this ipad.....
