A Close Inspection

.........a somewhat stressful day that started with my mum telling me that my aunt was seriously ill in hospital and not expected to make a recovery.
She lives at the other end of the country so I couldn't visit and I thought I would phone the hospital. Having eventually got through it turned out she wasn't registered as being admitted, so I phoned a different one, she wasn't there either. For those of you who don't know already mum is borderline and undiagnosed dementia sufferer .......she has has her good days and this wasn't one of them.
Anyway, I sensed that this might be another one of her ' imagined ' stories and phoned my aunts flat .......she eventually answered the phone, right as rain and not been near a hospital for ages.......it had all been in mum's head .......just like lots of other things she has me running around sorting out until I find out they don't exist.
It's sad because I feel like I can't believe a word she says now and have to check out everything she tells me :-/ and not just that it's such a waste of time but what choice do I have.
Anyway, I'm just letting off a bit of steam out of frustration.
I hope you like the pretty birdie looking for grubs.......he made me smile if nothing else did today :-)
